Since the first Egg Harbor Café opened in Hinsdale, IL in December 1985, a growing base of wonderful customers have encouraged us to develop and expand. After 35 years, Egg Harbor Café has 20 locations in Illinois, Georgia and Wisconsin.

We have been passionate about breakfast, brunch and lunch since 1985.

Egg Harbor cafe started in 1985 with one restaurant in Hinsdale, Illinois. Owners Aimee and Mike Farrell along with Aimee’s father Jack Wright opened a then unheard-of concept – a gourmet breakfast, brunch and lunch café in a warm, friendly country setting with an upbeat vibe. They introduced unusual egg dishes – frittatas, skillets and crepes – a caring management style, an emphasis on quality… and customers loved it.

Egg Harbor Café continued to grow, fueled by a mission-driven culture and the central belief that people – our customers and employees – are the company’s most valuable resource. Today Egg Harbor has 20 locations in Illinois, Georgia and Wisconsin. As a family-owned company involving three generations of children and grandchildren (including siblings, nieces and nephews), we pride ourselves in being an extended family to a great number of people, both employees and customers, and in our restaurants´ active involvement in their local communities.

We specialize in top quality food, always carefully sourced and often all-natural or organic. Whether in the mood for a traditional breakfast, a variation on the original, or a unique Egg Harbor Café creation, our guests have an extensive selection of breakfast and lunch creations, and something is always sure to please. We serve cage free eggs that are 100% certified-humane. We pour premium fair trade coffee sourced from the finest small family growers. You will not find any high fructose corn syrup in our food. We offer an extensive and excellent gluten free menu. In addition, the kids’ menu offers a variety of child-friendly choices along with games and a coloring contest for our younger guests.

We want our guests to feel part of our extended family.

OUR COMMUNITY

Our Pay it Forward program offers you a simple way to contribute to a good cause through donation jars placed at the register of each Egg Harbor Café location. We match 10% of guests’ total contributions. Whether you offer a few cents or a few dollars, it adds up to make the world a better place.

Feeding America

In 2020, “Pay It Forward” will support Feeding America. The Feeding America nationwide network of food banks secures and distributes 4.3 billion meals each year through food pantries and meal programs throughout the United States and leads the nation to engage in the fight against hunger.
