Mike Farrell, Nancy Meyer, and The World's Best Granola

Just a little over a year ago, Mike happened to mention to a friend that he was looking for a unique, high quality granola recipe that was better than anything on the market.  His friend immediately said, “I know someone who makes what I, and many others consider to be the world’s Best Granola.”  He said the recipe was developed and tweaked over the last 20 years by Nancy Meyer, who lived in Libertyville (now in Franklin,  Tennessee), and was an actual customer of Egg Harbor Café Libertyville.  The combination of oats, almonds, pecans, coconut flakes, real Vanilla and cinnamon, combined with dried cherries, blueberries and cranberries makes it an amazing product.  You’re going to love it!  So he spoke to Nancy, who was a big fan of Egg Harbor, and she said she’d be honored to make up a test batch for him to sample.  


It just so happened that the samples arrived during a Hamco (Harbor Management Company)  Leadership team meeting at Egg Harbor's corporate headquarters.  Each member of the Hamco team sampled the granola and they absolutely loved it to a person.  (This is the best granola I’ve ever tasted) they said.  After giving the granola our seal of approval, Nancy said she’d be honored to allow EHC to use the recipe under one condition...they would use it to celebrate the spirit of Kindness in all of  Egg Harbor restaurants, thus the name “Kindness Granola (The World’s Best.)  


As Mike got to know Nancy, he discovered that she exemplifies beauty and kindness both inside and out.  


We proudly thank her for her interest helping Egg Harbor continue its quest to be the very best breakfast / lunch restaurants to visit and work with.  We hope all who call Egg Harbor home will join enjoy our World's Best Granola!
